Strong vocabulary skills play a big role in reading comprehension, writing, and overall academic confidence. The good news is that building vocabulary doesn’t require extra worksheets, it can happen naturally at home@

Here’s a practical list you can use to build vocabulary at home:

  • Create a “word of the week”: Post it somewhere visible and practice using it daily.

  • Connect words to real life:  Point out vocabulary in everyday situations (recipes, news, conversations).

  • Play word games: Crossword puzzles, word searches, or vocabulary apps make learning fun.

At TT2G,  we intentionally introduce and reinforce academic vocabulary to help students feel more confident in class. Thank you for continuing that support at home, it truly makes a difference.
