Well, it is that time of year again. Summer is quickly approaching and the school year is winding down. Another crazy year filled with changes, uncertainty with covid regulations, and of course, the major catch up game.
Over the past few years, teachers are pulling out every trick to get the kids caught up and where they need to be. From reviewing grade level material a few years behind, to extra before and after school learning opportunities, to indoor recess and teachers giving up their prep time, teachers deserve all the praise for another unprecedented year.

Gift Card Ideas
Unless you know a specific store that your child’s teacher goes to, try and stick with something basic. Amazon and target are typically pretty safe. If you know of somewhere special that they like to shop at, go for it!
Self Care
There is nothing better than an end of the school year treat for a manicure, pedicure, or massage. If you check groupon or living social, they are always having local deals. This is a great way to relax and unwind after a long school year.
Night Out
If you know the town your childs’ teacher lives, you can certainly get a gift card to a restaurant near by. Now that summer is here and the weather is nice, they will be able to relax at a local establishment and will think of you always!
Handwritten Note
A nice note goes a long way. I was a teacher for years and still have all of the end of the year notes that my students wrote me. I have kept them in a special box and whenever I need a smile, I head right there!
Beverage of Choice
Whether it be coffee, soda, or wine, by now you have probably seen your childs teacher at conferences indulging in one of the above (ok, well not the last one)! Send in a little treat that they can enjoy over the summer. Ice coffee, their favorite carbonated beverages? The list can go on and on!
