Spring is here, which means fun outdoors, new friends, and new endeavors. At Teacher Time To Go, we are fully committed to participating in the local community activities and giving back as much as we can. Some of these local events include sponsoring the Healthy Kids Running Series, hosting a fundraiser at a local restaurant, conducting a local PSSA workshop, and participating in an outdoor vendor fair. We love meeting new people, immersing ourselves in the fun, and helping to create a memorable and enjoyable time for all. Here is a bit of what we’ve been up to this Spring.

The Healthy Kids Running Series

The Healthy Kids Running Series is a national, community-based non-profit event that provides a fun, inclusive five-week running series for ages 2-14. It is designed for kids to get active, feel accomplished and lay the foundation for a healthy lifestyle.

Teacher Time To Go is sponsoring West Chester’s Healthy Kids Running Series, which runs throughout the months of April and May. Seeing the kids’ faces light up with excitement as they cross the finish line is one of the many reasons we are taking part in this event. Join us ever Sunday and make sure to stop by our table for some healthy snacks, pencil pouches, frisbee’s, and more!

Pencils of Promise

Another one of our recent efforts has been teaming up with the organization, Pencils of Promise, which helps raise money to build schools in underserved countries. We wanted to get the local community involved and thought this could be a really great way to collaborate with some of our favorite local businesses.

To kick off our season of fundraising initiatives, On Saturday, April 17, the Chipotle in Wayne took part in our fundraising efforts to build a school in Ghana! The support was incredible, and we want to thank everyone who made it out, passed the info along to friends and family, and donated!  Be on the lookout for more awesome events at some of our favorite restaurants and businesses. In the meantime, please feel free to visit our fundraising page at the link below. Every dollar counts!

Beth Or Spring Fling Vendor Fair

As a small business, we love taking part in any event that highlights the amazing small businesses in the area. The Sisterhood at Congregation Beth Or, located in Maple Glen, PA, recently organized an amazing outdoor vendor fair. Clothing, food, jewelry, and handcrafted items were just some of the things being offered. The weather was perfect, and it was incredible to see families and friends together, outside, enjoying a beautiful Sunday. We can’t wait to take part in future events with The Sisterhood and Beth Or.

PSSA Workshop

Learning has looked drastically different this past year, so Teacher Time To Go wanted to help students in any way we could. This includes helping students prepare for the PSSA.  We have partnered with Bethel Academy and have created a five week workshop to help kids with test taking strategies, general skills and content, and how to study for the May PSSA. Thank you to all of our tutors who have volunteered their time and support to help make this such a beneficial workshop series.
